Great place, all kinds of machines with which the kids can play, a lot of explanation about technic. One minus, nothing in Englisch. Nevertheless worth a detour, by train 1 hour from Rotterdam.
The kids had a great time. Plenty of exhibits and lots to do. Educational and fun highly recommend making the trip to Essen.
As an adult going there my immediate reaction was a negative one. It was cold, quite some things where broken, info kiosks where too difficult for the children. The place was understaffed. Coffee was cold etc....
But my kids seemed to enjoy the experience and we stayed longer that we intented to.
It would be good if they maintained the place a bit better.
My son aged 12 enjoyed it.
Younger children might have a lot of fun due to the multiple activities proposed outside.
A nice experience
More than the half of the things are broken, everything closes at 17 but outside even earlier at 16.30, so if you come like us at 14 and paid afternoon ticket you cannot succeed to do almost nothing . I will not come back . I didn’t even understand nothing as nothing is in English , I speak 3 languages but here only Dutch people can come
Bit disappointing. I went there yesterday with big expectations but got frustrated with broken stuff. Honestly, looks like, they simply stop doing maintenance. The idea is very good, the concept, but stops there... Bit expensive for what you find there. Definitely, it's not a place that I would go back again or even recommend.
The whole family had a wonderful morning. I recommend it 100%. In addition, the staff who work are lovely
